An encounter between rapper-poet Mike Ladd and saxophonist-composer Maciek Lasserre.

Freestyle Musing is a multidimensional incantation where words and poetry spread in forms, improvisations and the musical language.

Recorded on January 29th 2021 during the AME (Workshop for Exploratory Music) dedicated to the relationship between speech and musical exploration.

At this point I'm pretty sure in the next 100 years , this album will be and remain as forward thinking as all of Steve's music , but this is a hard step up with the addition of the orchestre national de France and the geniuses at l'IRCAM , this record gives us a total reinvention of the traditional big band and has pushed jazz all the way to the 23rd century.
